Do I want an eReader?

So I just saw this commercial for the Kindle and I really like it! Good job, Amazon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDjhkGNVSxQ I've been debating for the last year and a half if I want one. And now B&N has a version that seems cooler (the Nook). And of course the iPad is a viable reader option as well. What a conundrum!
Pros: Quickly purchase books to begin reading right away. Carry only your reader instead of multiple books. Have another cool techno gadget.
Cons: No pages to turn. Do I have to hold it with two hands? Will it still feel good to curl up with? And you can't lend it to others... Any thoughts?

  1. I have the same predicament! I just love the actual hard copies of books! I think they are fun to have, and I am a dork, but I like to highlight in my books too! :) Let me know what you decide!

Also, any good book suggestions for me?!

  2. ipad comments: you can hold it with one hand or two, you can curl up with it... it's not soft. neither are most of my books. the pages DO turn on the ipad. technology, amazing...

don't get a nook - the technology is not as good as kindle. get an ipad or a kindle, depending on how much additional, useless time wasting you want to do with it.

and think of how many less boxes of BOOKS you'd have to move next time if they were all neatly stowed in your compact ereader :)
